Future of Jainism in India
Jainism is an ancient religion from India. It has a great philosophy and rich heritage. But I do not see any future for this religion as the followers of Jainism are digressed from the original values of Jainism. They are interested in building new temples, worshiping Idol, rituals, serving the monks, and saving cows and they have nothing to do with spreading the original messages of Jainism like equality, pluralism, compassion etc.
Many Jains have nothing to do with worldly problems, they are just in hurry of going to Moksha. Many have nothing to do with the problems of human beings, they just want to save animals.
Most of the Jains, including the monks do not know that Jainism denies creation theory, and this religion is against discrimination of human being in the name of birth, color, caste, creed, nationality etc. Unfortunately, many Jain monks and their followers are spreading hatred, casteism, sectarian views and discrimination.
While Hindus are victims of Caste system, Jains suffer from caste disputes, and in addition disputes amongst various Jain sects.
Jains are not interested in spreading their religion, and even if some non-Jain people want to become Jains, Established Jains say no to them. As the influential part of Jain community consists of traders, the entire community has become money oriented, self centered and narrow minded.
In general, Jainism can be described as 'The Right Faith in Wrong Hands'. As they do not know about their rich history, they have no futures. History repeats only if we know about it.
But I see a future of if a large part of non-Jains take interest in Jainism, if the social composition of Jain community is changes (i.e. the intellectuals replace traders),
