This is a list of actresses who are presently in form in Bollywood and popular in Hindi movie watchers. I have listed just few of them, with their short biographies.

Born on 1st January 1978

Vidya Balan started her film career with a Bengali language film in 2003. She won Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her first Hindi film Parineeta in year 2005. So far she has acted in 17 films.

She has won Filmfare Award for Best Actress for the film Paa in 2009 and Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for the film Ishquiya in 2010.

Her forthcoming films include Chenab Gandhi by the famous director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This film is based on the life of Khan Abdul Gafar Khan, a great personality of Indian freedom movement.

I have watched her famous film Lage Raho Munna Bhai, which is based on applying Gandhian philosophy in modern way.

Born on 5th January 1986

When I watched her first Hindi film Om Shanti Om, I was impressed by her mesmerizing acting. She won Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for this film (2006). This film got a big commercial success.

Deepika Padukone was born to the renowned Badminton player Prakash Padukone.

She started her career as a model. So far she has acted in 20 movies.

Anushka Sharma is a cheerful actress of Hindi movies. She started her career with the Hindi film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008. So far she has acted in just five films, and although she has yet not won any Filmfare award, I hope she has a great future.

Born on 9th June 1985

Sonam Kapoor is the eldest daughter of the famous Hindi actor Anil Kapoor. She started her career with the film Saawaria. Although she won Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for this film, it was not commercially successful. But her next film I Hate Luv Storys got a breakthrough.

So for she has acted in 7 films.

Kangana Ranaut is is known for her excellent acting. She started her Hindi film career with the film Gangstar, for which she got Filmfare Best Female Debut Award (2006). She won the prestigious National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for the film Fashion directed by the renowned director Madhur Bhandarkar. She won Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for the same film.

So far she has acted in 20 films.

Genelia D'souza is a successful actress who works in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam language films. She started her career as a model. Her first film was Tujhe Meri Kasam. So far she has acted in 32 films.

Born on 16th July 1984

Katrina Kaif was born in Hong Kong to a British Indian father of Kasmiri descent and a British father. She started her career as a model when she was just 14.

She started her film career with the Hindi film Boom (2003).

She is commercially successful actress and has acted in 25 films so far.

Born on 18th July 1982

Priyanka Chopra, one of the famous actresses of Bollywood is former Miss World. She started her film career with the Tamil film Thamizan. Her first film was Andaaz, for which she received Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

So far, she has acted in 40+ films. She won Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role (Aitraaz, 2004), Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Fashion, 2008), and Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress (7 Khoon Maaf, 2011). She won the most prestigious National Film Award for Best Actress her film fashion.

Another famous actresses of Bollywood, Bipasha Basu started her film career with the film Ajnabhee (2001), for which she got Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Until now, she has worked in 45+ films. Some of her most famous films are Raaz (2002), Jism (2003), No Entry (2005), Corporate (2006), Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008).

Besides Hindi films, she has worked Telugu, Tamil and Bengali films.

Asin basically works in Tamil and Telugu films, but she became a famous actress of Bollywood when her first Hind film Ghajini was released (2008). For this super hit film, she received Filmfare Best Female Debut Award, IIFA Star Debut Award, Star Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer and Stardust Award for Superstar of Tomorrow.
