Using Keywords in Page Title Generates More Traffic

Title of your page is the most important thing both for the readers and search engines.

A reader gets attracted to any page because of the title. The title tells him what is the content of the page.

This is just like the titles of articles published in newspapers and magazines. However we experience many times that the title is not attractive and does not give the idea of content in it. In this case there is a bad impact on the readership of the article. A large percentage of readers ignore such articles. Same thing happens about your pages on your blog, website or Hubs.

For search engine, page title is the most important thing. Many things depends on the page title, including your page rank in search results.

Here are some tips which will help you while choosing a title for your page.

1. The title should give the exact idea of the subject of content in the page.

2. The title should be attractive, otherwise most of the readers will ignore the page

3. The title should contain at least one keyword/ keyword phrase, that too within first 65 characters

4. Do not use too many keywords in the title

5. The title should not be too short or too long. Use 4 to 9 words in the page.

6. Do not use the same title for your other page

7. Check the spelling and grammar of the page title before posting the page

For online pages, the title is not just a title, but also a keyword. If the title contains a keyword/ keyword phrase, the page will attract readers as well as search engines. If the title has more than one keywords, it will attract more readers. Further, its page rank will be improved in the search results.

In many cases, it is not possible to put more than one keyword in the title. In such cases, you should concentrate yourself on just giving a perfect title, which gives the exact idea of the content.
